DEFINITION OF THE MEDITERRANEAN
The magic of mediterranean countries is defined by the olive and wine culture?
The concepts of Mediterranean and Mediterranean world indicate areas located around the Mediterranean Sea. These cover the southern Mediterranean regions of Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. The boundary of the basin of the Mediterranean world and refers mainly to the Mediterranean climate and in particular the limit of olive cultivation. Other cultural or historical criteria also help delineate the Mediterranean region. Mediterranean culture or civilization is then defined by an ancient heritage and medieval fort, related to Greco-Roman civilization, Judeo-Christian and Islamic. This culture is embodied in the food by the predominance of vegetables, fruit, fish, bread, olive oil and wine.
For the ancient Greek and Latin singing "the vinous sea" poets, the Mediterranean was inseparable from the invention of wine, one of the first benefits of the gods. The cult of the wine is not limited to religious practices, but also had implications multiple and paradoxical effects of the wine itself, which reflects the plasticity of divine figures who were associated with him. SURF LEBANON
You wonder if we can surf in Lebanon?
Surfing has been there from the early days of surfing
Since the 50's
But with the pleasure of this great sport and leisure comes a sad reality: The proliferation of beach resorts is making the sand front unreachable.
In Lebanon all the beaches are becoming a direct sea front for hotels and resorts
Therefore to go down to a free sand beach is becoming impossible.
Surfers must make their move along with other social movements and claim the right for every one to go freely to beaches and water.
There is a Law that prohibit beach resorts to use sand beaches as a property But in Lebanon as you might know by now everything is breakable.
