BEIRUT WILL BECOME SHORT OF SKY-VIEW SOON
These photos taken from my dining room where I sit often shows what DAMAGE the frenzy of construction is doing to Lebanon the and especially in Ashrafieh
I live in what was one of the most beautiful and quiet streets of Beirut, Sursock Street.
This street was classified until 2000 street of traditional character.
It was a jewelry of the architectural heritage of Beirut
From 2000 it is no longer the case.
50 percent of old houses, domains and castles collapsed before the height complex of buildings builders, with no laws or authority to restrain them
Even the sky has had its share of destruction
In a very short time we will not see any stretch of sky from my window
The blue color will go away forever
This is the hell that wants to bequeath the constructors of concrete
